About Priya Advani
Ever since I was a child, I have dreamed of helping people. With a turn of events in my life, I ended up attending business school at Northern Illinois University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. I spent the next decade working for a major telecommunications company as a Corporate Account Executive. Although I had a successful career, the lack of fulfillment led me to find a deeper meaning in my life. My passion to help others once again emerged.
This desire drove me to search for a greater awareness of purpose. It was around this time that I bumped into an old friend who I hadn’t seen in over two years. I invited him and his mother to a dinner party I was hosting. During a conversation with his mother, I discovered that she had studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She strongly encouraged me to investigate this career path. Soon after our meeting, I began the Master’s program at Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California.
I spent the next five years not only learning about acupuncture points, meridian theory, herbal formulas and clinical medicine, but also learning about myself. Through my Qi Gong and Meditation practice I experienced the benefit of balance and harmony as well as the importance of connecting mind, body and spirit. I was editor of Emperor College's newsletter, “Yi Dao" and I had the privilege to serve as the President of our student body my final year. I graduated Magna Cum Laude. These proved to be the most life changing years I had ever experienced.
My goal is to bring healing and wellness into the lives of all my patients. I look forward to serving you!
